What We Look for in a Fury Coach
Fury coaches are more than instructors. They are role models. We are looking for leaders who bring energy, accountability, and a genuine commitment to the growth of every player on their roster. Whether you are an experienced coach or stepping into the role for the first time, what matters most is your character and your dedication.
We value coaches who:
Lead with patience, respect and high standards
Prioritize player development at every level
Communicate clearly & consistently with players & families
Prepare their teams to compete with discipline & purpose
Embody the values of Calgary Fury on & off the floor
Coaching at Fury
Fury coaches lead their teams through a full spring season of twice-weekly practices on Tuesday and Friday evenings, culminating in competition at BHA Provincials and, for A teams, the CBHA Western Challenge Cup.
Head coaches are selected first and play a role in choosing their assistant coaches once teams are built. All coaches are supported with ongoing education opportunities in skill development, player well-being, and youth sport best practices.

All coaching applicants must provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Coach Application Process
When coaching positions are open, here is how the process works:
Submit an application. No resume required.
References provided upon request.
Participate in an interview with our Coach Selection Committee.
Provide a current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Our Coach Selection Committee reviews all applications, interviews top candidates, and recommends final selections to the Board.

Fury coaching applications open each year in early spring ahead of the April tryout season. When positions are available, the application link will be posted here.
